The very first horse-drawn tram rolled through Sarajevo in 1885. And just ten years later, Sarajevo became home to its first electric tram, making this innovation a reality – and two years before Vienna launched its own electric tram system.
Nowadays, Stadler Rail one of the world’s leading rail vehicle manufacturers, produces modern trams for the city of Sarajevo at its factory in Poland.
Following a successful audit by Stadler in 2019 and a first inspection review in 2023, a collaboration between Stadler and Minel Global Engineering was established.
This collaboration allows Minel pantographs to be featured on Stadler trams in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
